A journal of running, healthy food, mountains, bikes and technology by Julia Revitt

Last Saturday we set off to Cotswold Wildlife Park with a packed lunch, rain coats, sun hats and the camera – we were ready for anything!

Whilst on the most part I appreciated the conservation aspect of keeping these animals, I did struggle with the lack of respect a lot of visitors gave to them. From sticking a camera complete with flash in an owls face, to kids screaming at the lions and parents introducing zebras to their children as 'striped horses'. I think a bit more education and humbleness wouldn't have gone a miss! A nice day out though and I do recommend it to anyone wishing to practice their monopod skills!
